We managed to get a copy of the police report, which referred to the plucked leaves as "freshly stemmed marijuana leaves." Other than that, it was a reasonably fair description of the circumstances despite quaint phrasings such as "ARO seen a car with its hazards on. Backed up and seen two men standing near the shoulder...."
The prosecuting attorney was not inclined to talk with us, something his secretary said he never did. He did say, however, that he would meet us in the court room before the trial started. We went outside to wait. Brian suggested a few possible arguments to present, but I had to ask him to repeat them. My mind was like a seive.
It was time. We went in. Everyone else was late. The prosecuting attorney did not meet with us before the trial began, as he had said he would.
