After leaving Livermore we rode down the chicanes of Lombard Street. That was a lot of fun. Some people said they had never done this before on bicycles. Can you image? Living in San Francisco and never riding down Lombard Street on a bicycle!
I am actually old enough to remember the clattery old bricks that would rattle loose all the time. They've since been replaced with more modern stuff. The old red brick paving stones can still be found in a few places around San Francisco, however.
