Here's a great photo of San Francisco by Nellie Viola, one of the great all-time photographers. Note the American Academy of Opthamalogy, a building which with those big bay greenhouse windows appears itself to have many eyes, all of them spectacled. Then you have a Pedal-powered lorrie, the Buena Vista Hotel, where as any tourist can tell you Irish Coffee was invented, a cable car and a bicycle rider. What more could you ask for?
